AMMAURO #3 - ESP8266 IoT 2017, native C SDK Getting Started for Windows, Mac & Linux
Getting Started with IoT! Native C firmware development setup & tutorial for the ESP8266 on Mac & Windows, using the official ESP SDK. ESP-01 and NodeMCU (ESP-12E) demonstrations included. NOTE the error near 20:15 and check full description for more info.
Wow, the 3rd video in the AMMAURO label (http://ammauro.com) looks at how to use your Mac or Windows environment, with a Linux Virtual Machine (see my previous video: https://youtu.be/kYEzEFH5LiM), to set up a full ESP8266 development toolchain from scratch, easily. See an actual firmware get built from C source code and get uploaded to the ESP-01 (via programming jig) and ESP-12E (via NodeMCU board).
NOTE the error near 20:15 in the video, in that typically the TX/RX pair of the ESP-01 module should *cross over* and connect to the RX/TX pair of your USB-to-serial adaptor... i.e. TX connects to RX, and not TX to TX.
