To Jack

Thank you everyone who have cared about Jack this past month. Jack passed away peacefully at home last month with the presence of everyone that loved him. It was a warm sunny day and I couldn’t have asked for anything better than that. Jack passed away naturally of old age, he was 14 years old. Although it made me sad, I was comforted with the thought that Jack passed away on his own terms and we were with him until the very last moment of his life. I’ve had Jack for as long as I could remember. He always made sure we all knew how he was feeling whether it be a bark or hitting the chair so it made a loud noise. He had a handsome face with real long curly eyelashes and when he wasn’t happy he’d give you a stink eye that reminded me of a grumpy old man. To Uncle Jack, whenever I think of you I think of happy memories, it’s as if you’ve never left my side. To Uncle Sam, please take care of Jack our little trouble maker. Until we meet again on the rainbow bridge. 🌈
