Heavy Horses
Low impact woodland management using heavy horses, September 2021.
An area of secondary, deciduous woodland near Dorking, Surrey was being thinned. To minimise soil damage, the site manager engaged local horseman, Dan Brown with his team of horses and men, to extract the timber.
The horses are, in order of appearance, Donk (Belgian Draft), Eddie (Coloured Cob), Anna & Tookie (Comtois).
It was a real privilege to witness the bond between the horses and men.

A film by Harrison, with original music 'Junk Dogs' by The Dogs of Peace.
The music was created using Apple loops in Logic Pro X - except for the guitar solo, which was kindly written and played by Ben Belcher.
An earlier version of this track was used as the soundtrack to another video, by me, called '4 Seasons at Norbury Park.'
