The Radio 1 summer tour started back in 1973 in Newquay with a small caravan and crew putting on a holiday show for the public for the very first time. Seventeen years later the fourth and biggest roadshow vehicle took to the road under the new ‘One FM’ name. This video features on of the roadshows from 21st August 1990 with Gary Davies from The Hoe at Plymouth and eventually, after a satellite failure, we get on air with special guest Sinitta.
