Vintage Wedding Dress Restoration Throwback!

This dress restoration was one of my favorites and how could it not be?? It had a truly iconic 1950s silhouette and that train was just GORGEOUS.

I miss doing vintage wedding dress restorations and I still have about 100 of them sitting in boxes waiting to be given their chance to shine. People ask me all of the time why I haven't been doing them in so long and the answer is both simple and frustratingly complex. It is because of life's circumstances when it comes down to it. My previous place I lived for a year didn't have a bathtub and I tried so many ways to be able to restore things without one but nothing felt right. Then we moved into a place where we've been for 5-6 months and the beautiful tub that I was so looking forward to using has been touch and go due to plumbing and mold issues, plus when I'm trying to do a live stream so people can ask questions there is so much air traffic it's nearly impossible for people to hear me.. Even with the windows closed! Mind you we chose a place in a nice neighborhood where we're paying about $3850 a month to live just so we wouldn't have to deal with house related issues ...so that's been just great.

All that to say that we are actively looking into what our next steps will be and hopefully one of these days very soon I can once again roll up my sleeves and dive back in to the wonderful story telling and restoration experience we all love to see and enjoy 🥰. For now let's look back and enjoy some of the ones, like this one, I've gotten to see go full circle ❤️
