(Malaysia) 132kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) - Part 2 Foundation

It is important to install GIS on a foundation. There are multiple reasons why, among others are:

a) To ensure GIS intact with ground during breaker operation
b) To attain equal foundation level between GIS for installation purpose
c) To support GIS’s weight, the foundation able to disperse downward force evenly
d) To achieve perpendicular allignment for termination of incoming power cable to CSE

Usually building developers will pre-install foundations during building construction. If not, one must make ready the foundation before beginning GIS installation.

In this video I will share our method on how we construct the foundation.
