Modernizing .NET applications on AWS
Typically, we’re talking about modernizing how we deploy .NET applications on AWS. The focus is around enabling those apps to be deployed with continuous delivery and DevOps best practices and being able to leverage all the great tooling that’s available in AWS for applications built on the .NET stack.

Is there a way to develop and deploy .NET applications in a serverless model?
In AWS, we can take .NET applications and migrate them to normal EC2 instances and do that with a bunch of automation and all the DevOps processes, or we can actually deploy them using Lambda. So, Lambda, which is the serverless runtime in AWS, supports .NET Core, which allows us to run applications written in a serverless event driven model just like we might with applications written in Node.js or Python or Java.

As for .NET developers, do their processes change much or do they still develop within the same frameworks?
No, actually the goal of the infrastructure is to let developers use the same tools that are used to, and just integrate those tools with the AWS platform. As a result, developers develop with the same tool chain they're always using. Now going serverless, they’ll have to learn some new serverless concepts, but the day to day work will not change.
