Splitboarding in the Revelstoke Sidecountry

Revelstoke treated us to sunny bluebird days and great alpine terrain to explore. Today we kept it pretty mellow, practicing with our beacons to start off and then venturing into the side country. The route we followed took us past the base of Mt. MacKenzie and over to the next ridge, approaching Montana bowl. After the uphill part of the day we took in the new views we had found and then began the descent back into the Resort. It was a fairly technical ride down, snowboarding along ridge lines and through valleys and trees, but overall was a very enjoyable day cruising new terrain with friends, amazing views, and some sun. Make sure you have the equipment and knowledge required to explore off resort terrain before going, and always go with a group. Thanks for watching.
