Cat unlatches door

Owen learned a long time ago to jump on the shelf next to the door and slip his paw through the crack to lift up the latch. He was already on the shelf so I was hoping I could catch him in the act! Normally a line of captured kitties would then run out of the room. We have screen doors on our rooms so that if we need to, we can separate but not exclude our pets.
