Why I'm Switching to Android for Facial MOCAP in Unreal Engine

Learn how to use the Live Link Face app for Android to capture facial MOCAP to use with MetaHumans in Unreal Engine 5.7.1. The Android app works just like the iPhone version but it can also use an external camera. In this early beta stage it cannot record locally, but can live stream to Unreal Engine.

Live Link Face for Android requires a modern chip and is pretty particular. I used a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and it works flawlessly. Please read the documentation before buying an Android phone to use with Live Link Face.

In this demo I use a Rokoko Headcam that connects via USB C and is honestly the best combo with LLF Android.
