Simple Brain Exercise: Bilateral Coordination Drills for Memory & Focus

I’m Maryann, and my mission is simple: help people protect their brain and reduce their risk of Alzheimer’s through daily habits that support brain health.

One of my favorite tools is bilateral coordination drills—simple exercises that require both sides of your body to move in coordinated patterns. These movements activate communication between the left and right hemispheres of the brain, strengthen neural pathways, and support neuroplasticity (the brain’s ability to adapt and grow).

Practicing these drills daily may help:
🧠 Improve memory and focus
🧠 Enhance coordination and reaction time
🧠 Strengthen the nervous system
🧠 Build cognitive reserve that supports long-term brain health

The best part? They only take a few minutes a day and can be done almost anywhere.

Through this page, I share simple, science-supported strategies for brain health and Alzheimer’s prevention—including movement, sleep, nutrition, and lifestyle habits that help keep your brain strong for years to come.

Follow along if you want to take a proactive approach to protecting your brain and staying mentally sharp. #alzheimersprevention #bilateralcoordination #brainhealth #cognitivehealth #neuroplasticity
