Copy a Mask in Luminar 4 2 (re-upload)

Copying a mask in Luminar 4.2 is useful technique for you edits and is a relatively easy process to achieve. In the is video I'll show you how to copy a mask paste it on a new adjustment layer, then apply an effect and then invert the mask so that the new effect is applied to the opposite of the first mask you created.
This technique (without inverting) is also useful for placing multiple masks for different effects throughout your image.
These videos will be diving straight into the technique(s) mentioned in the title with room for chit chat so only the process is involved. I’m aiming to keep the videos between 2 - 4 mins in length and leave the longer more in-depth edits that explain why we are doing things for the other videos on the channel.

Sometimes we don't have the time to watch a full video just to see the technique you are after, or you are in the middle of editing and just want to know "how do I...?' so I thought this style of video would help beginners with the software and it would also compliment the other videos on the channel.

There will be Bitesize videos on Luminar, Photoshop and Lightroom and in no particular sequence hopefully they will show you things you wanted to know or show you alternate uses for the Tools being used. So I hope you find them useful.

There are many ways to create your images and its fun to try different things with your images.I hope the methods shown in this tutorial are useful to you in creating your own.

Its really worth exploring any software and seeing what it can do and as well as that letting your imagination run free :)
It’s good to think outside the box at times and just experiment with what you can do with your software.

The focus of the tutorial is not the final image but the process involved to get there.

Try the techniques for yourself and see what happens, if you like them use it in the future. But if not, well at least you have learned something that the software can do differently. All’s Good :)
