UNEDITED SHEEP SHEARING VIDEO - Why does it need to be done?

I know it's been too long since I've uploaded a video! This is a pretty short and sweet video folks! (Excuse the constant interruption by this sheep's pals in the background 😂)

Here I shear a sheep in an unedited video so I can show you guys exactly what it involves. I explained that sheep need to be shorn due to the risk of fky strike (maggots) and heat exhaustion, both of which can be fatal to the animal! Other risks of leaving the wool on are risk of sheep getting cast on it's back and overgrown wool inhibiting movement!
So I'm going to show you how I go about shearing by keeping the sheep comfortable with my footwork and positioning, as well as stretching out the skin to prevent cutting the skin and to leave a clean finish!

I have been shearing for 4 years, and I'll be shearing for many more before I become anywhere near as professional as my idols that are the top shearers in the world! But with many more training courses (highly recommend) and plenty more practice, the sky is the limit! 🐑😊
