Which 5.7x28mm ammo will NOT make it through body armor? And how far away?

Originally designed to rip through soft body armor, 5.7x28mm was quickly neutered when it hit the civilian market. But reports still linger that the ammo you can find on the shelves can make it through Level IIIa vests. Let's see if the rumors are true, and how far 5.7x28 can make it through gel afterward.

Test equipment includes one 6x6 sheet of Level IIIa Kevlar body armor, two blocks of Clear Ballistics gel, one homemade bracket, and a plastic table that looks like Swiss cheese.
