In Bengali, Bhapa means something that is steam cooked. And there is a very popular and well known bengali recipe called 'Bhapa Ilish'. There are many other cuisines as well which are cooked in similar way.

But I believe many people haven't heard or even thought of eggs being cooked in this way. 'Dim Bhapa' or sometimes called as Dimer Bhapa goes well with steaming plain white rice. The taste of mustard, posto (poppy seeds) and coconut with raw mustard oil and green chilies gives a different flavor to this recipe.
