I managed to get hold of the latest Firewire surfboard by Rob Machado on the day it was launched (luckily I have some epic local surf shops to choose from!) and was keen to test out Robs latest design, including the brand new Rob Machado Keels made specifically for the Too Fish.

Unfortunately the next decent swell isn't hitting the East Coast of Australia for a few days, but I managed to get the Machado Too Fish into the water for a full grovel session at a little beach break down the coast!

Despite the 5'7 Firewire Too Fish being considerably shorter than most of the boards I've been riding and reviewing lately it paddled well and was an absolutely blast for some small wave fun!

Fast, responsive and buttery smooth - I'm frothing to get the latest Rob Machado surfboard wet in some bigger, reeling waves soon! And by the looks of the swell charts that could be in the next few days.

And FYI I'm riding the 5'7 option (coming in at 34.9L) and I'm 185cm and 82kg.
