Ficus is a plant of the Mulberry family. This is one of the most common indoor plants.

In nature, ficuses are trees and shrubs, grow thick forests under rain, wind and sun, are very hardy. But at home Ficus is much more gentle - it does not tolerate drafts, waterlogging the soil and direct sunlight. Variegated Ficus is more photophilous, it requires shading only at the hottest time of the day, from about 11 to 15 o'clock.
