Why I Don't Like Player Choice

Player control is one of the most important facets of games that separate them from the likes of TV and Movies, but there's been a trend over the past few years that has weaselled it's way into the likes of GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Assassin's Creed Valhalla, a trend that I feel does nothing but make those games worse.
