How to Winterize Yamaha F9.9 Outboard

A basic step by step guide to winterize a Yamaha 9.9hp outboard motor.
This same information is applicable to any small outboard that has a carburetor. All you need is an aerosol fogging oil, an 8mm combination wrench, and a rag.

The steps to winterize a motor as shown in the video:
1) Run up to operating temperature - approximately 15 minutes
2) Fog motor by spraying the fogging oil down the intake while the motor is running at a fast idle
3) Drain the float bowl on the carburetor
