After nearly 4 years, in 2017, Elisabetta Franchi acquired the 100% of the society share.

Betty Blue viene fondata nel 1998 da Elisabetta Franchi e Sabatino Cennamo, imprenditore e marito della stilista. Lo stesso anno la società lancia la sua prima linea di abbigliamento chiamata Celyn b. Nei primi anni di attività, i due soci puntano all'espansione del marchio Celyn b. in Italia e all'estero[1], fino ad aprire nel 2002 il primo negozio monomarca a Viareggio. L'anno successivo viene aperto un punto vendita a Firenze e nel 2005 a Bologna.

Il 2006 è l'anno del debutto all'estero con i primi quattro flagship store in Russia: a Ivanovo, Kazan', Saratov e San Pietroburgo. Nel 2007 si punta ancora sulla Russia, aprendo nuovi punti vendita, fra cui due nella capitale Mosca[2].

La società decide di rafforzare l'identità del marchio appoggiandosi al nome della stilista e dalla collezione Autunno/Inverno 2008-2009 modifica il marchio in Elisabetta Franchi Celyn b., destinato a diventare nel 2012 solo Elisabetta Franchi.
