Croatia has received the second batch of UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters
The Croatian Ministry of Defense has accepted delivery of the second batch of a pair of UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters from the United States.
The helicopter was sent via Franjo Tuđman Airport in Zagreb using a C-17 transport aircraft on December 3, 2022.
With this additional delivery the total number of Black Hawks in service with the Croatian Armed Forces will be four.
Croatian Defense Minister Mario Banožić said the ideal number of Black Hawk helicopters for Croatia was 12.
This suggests that Croatia will add to the acquisition of 8 more units.
Croatia purchased a total of four Black Hawk helicopters under a 2018 deal.
Two of the helicopters were donated by the US Department of Defense, while the other two were paid for by Croatia.
UH-60M is the latest variant in the Black Hawk family of helicopters.
