India Reopens Bangladesh Tourist Visas June 28 After 2 Year Freeze #Shorts

After a near two-year freeze, India reopens the door to Bangladesh.

India will resume tourist visa applications for Bangladeshi nationals from Sunday, 28 June 2026, High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi announced in Dhaka. Services restart through five Indian Visa Application Centres — Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chattogram, Sylhet and Khulna — after operations were scaled back in August 2024 amid unrest following Sheikh Hasina's ouster and attacks on Indian missions. Medical and emergency visas had continued throughout; this is a clear thaw in India–Bangladesh ties and India's neighbourhood diplomacy.
