Audi S6 V10 5.2 Avant Conversion Build. Pulling v10 Engine out. (Part 2)

Welcome everyone to part 2 of our Audi S6 Avant build. In this episode we got the Avant on the frame rack and a good amount of the damaged pulled out! We got most of the main measurements back to their original points and the sub frame points back into square.

Next we went onto tackle the parts car the Audi S6 that we will be taking all the parts to make this swap possible. We made good progress and where able to remove the engine and transmission. Removing the whole drivetrain was a little bit of a challenge since the V10 is a pretty complex engine and there are so many components to it. But nevertheless we got it out! Once the engine was out of the car we did discover some panel bond that was used to try and stop a small oil leak and that the rear timing covers have been removed. The oil leak is definitely not good and will have to address it. The rear timing covers being removed may be a good sign that the timing chain, guides and tensioners have already been serviced! This is huge since this is one of the big services that need to be done.

At the end we did discover that the tunnel for the transmission is much larger on the S6 then on the Avant! This will add another degree of difficulty to make this swap happen!
