Trump has thrown down the gauntlet to China by tweeting that he will be raising tariffs on Chinese goods this Friday. The E-mini S&P 500 futures have opened down 1.5% on the news and could tumble a lot more over the next few weeks if negotiations aren't brought back from the brink.
