Building the Kinetic 1/48 scale E-2C Hawkeye Airborne Early Warning Aircraft

In this video we’ll be working on Kinetic kit #48013 -- a 1/48 scale U.S. Navy E-2C Hawkeye airborne early warning aircraft assigned to the VAW-112 “Golden Hawks” and based off the carrier U.S.S. Nimitz (CVN-68) in 1995 at the time. The aircraft’s outside is colored in the high visibility paint layout instead of the usual flat and subdued military exterior schemes. Pre-shading lines, detailing and painting along with background information is presented in this video build.

This kit proved the most difficult to date for the channel due to numerous fit issues, some instruction errors, and other kit problems. The paint guide also erroneously lists the VAW-112 as the "Golden Eagles" instead of the "Golden Hawks".
