Ryzen 3 3300X Bottleneck Benchmark vs. 2080 Ti, 2070 Super, 2060 KO, & More GPUs
The AMD Ryzen 3 3300X CPU is one of the best budget CPUs right now, so we need to look at when the R3 3300X bottlenecks GPUs. This looks at the best GPU for the 3300X CPU.

In this benchmark, the goal is not to determine which CPU is the best, but to determine at which point the CPU is bottlenecking the GPU. That means we need to test low-end to high-end GPUs, including a 2080 Ti (which is our standardized CPU review card, used to eliminate bottlenecks to determine clean CPU scaling), and also including lower-end devices. We're testing the 2080 Ti, RTX 2070 Super, RTX 2060 KO (non-Ultra), RX 5600 XT Pulse, and GTX 1650 Super to see when the 3300X begins to limit the GPUs in a significant fashion. Tests were conducted at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K in gaming applications for 3300X benchmarks, and we're able to use this data to illustrate when you might want to care more about GPU choice. Remember that people who want ultra-high FPS, e.g. 300FPS in CSGO, should actually be looking at the CPU review rather than GPU benchmarks (which is what this is). That's because at that sort of framerate, in almost all instances of modern games, you're going to be CPU-bound and not GPU-bound. For this testing, we're assuming the average player wants to maintain a good/playable FPS while also pushing higher settings, rather than min-maxing the graphics-FPS configuration (again, see a CPU review for that).
