Real World Engineering

Founded in Summer 2022, Real World Engineering is a unique 2nd year, student engineering organization that operates like a design firm. Funded and supported by the UF Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, we teach students about the Engineering Design Process through our design teams and engineering projects.
A significant part of our workflow is our implementation of Agile Project Management. Through hands-on projects, members learn how to adapt to changes, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively, equipping them with the Agile skills sought by today's engineering firms to carry out sprints and effectively execute scrum.
We foster a wide range of technical and soft skills. Our technical skills range from 3D CAD modeling, materials science, manufacturing, GD&T, coding, circuitry, R & D and much more. While our soft skills range from project development, critical thinking, problem solving, adaptability and leadership.
