This man does not stop for anyone #rally #shorts #crash #motorsport #commentary
Rally racing is a type of motorsport where drivers race modified road cars on real-world roads or tracks, usually one car at a time, against the clock.
Instead of racing wheel-to-wheel like Formula 1, rally drivers complete timed sections called stages. The driver with the lowest total time after all stages wins.
A rally car usually has two people inside:
Driver – controls the car
Co-driver – reads pace notes, telling the driver what corners, jumps, braking points, hazards, and road changes are coming up
Rally stages can be on:
* Gravel
* Tarmac
* Snow
* Ice
* Mud
* Forest roads
* Mountain roads
The big difference is that rally racing is about controlling the car at high speed on unpredictable surfaces. Cars slide a lot, jump over crests, and deal with changing grip all the time.
A simple example:
The co-driver might say:
“Right 4 over crest, into left 2, don’t cut.”
That tells the driver there is a medium-fast right corner over a hill, followed by a tighter left corner, and they should avoid cutting the corner because there may be a hazard.
So basically, rally racing is high-speed time-trial racing on rough, real roads, with a driver and co-driver working together.
