Compensation for CIA-funded brainwashing experiments paid out to victim's daughter 60 years later
CIA-funded brainwashing experiments took a horrible physical and psychological toll on Jean Steel, a Canadian woman who was diagnosed with manic depression and delusional thinking in the 1950s in Montreal. Now, 60 years later, the federal government has agreed to compensate her daughter.
