Vertical Jump Exercise

The Vertical Jump Exercise is a plyometric movement often used in physical therapy and fitness training. It primarily targets the lower body muscles, including the quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes, and calves. This exercise is beneficial for improving power, explosiveness, and proprioception.

Here's how to perform a Vertical Jump Exercise:
1. Stand upright with your feet shoulder-width apart.
2. Quickly drop into a quarter squat then explode upwards as high as you can, extending your arms overhead.
3. Land softly on your toes then heels, absorbing the impact with your knees slightly bent.
4. Repeat this movement for the desired number of repetitions.

Vertical jump training typically includes other exercises such as squats, deadlifts, and plyometric drills like lateral skater jumps, single-leg bounds, and broad jumps. These exercises help to develop lower body strength and power, which are critical for improving vertical jump performance.
