Freezer Friendly Stuffed Shells I How to make stuffed shells

This recipe freezes beautifully! I love making two batches at a time so that way we can eat tonight and one for later. I hope you guys give this one a try!

1 lb ground sausage of your liking
1 box jumbo shells prepped as indicated on the box
1 jar of your favorite marinara sauce

Filling

1 large container of whole milk ricotta cheese
1/2 cup (or so) of grated mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup fresh parm. cheese
1 egg slightly beaten
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon oregeno
1 tablespoon basil
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste

Cook sausage and shells.

Mix together cheeses, spices, and eggs in a separate bowl.

Spread a little sauce on the bottom of your baking dish and add remaining sauce to your sausage.

Fill shells with cheese mixture and place seam side down in your baking sheet. Add the sauce mixture over the tops of the shells and sprinkle with additional mozz. cheese, parm cheese and basil. Cover with foil and bake for 40-45 mins in a preheated 350 degree oven. Remove foil for the last 10 mins and if you'd like your cheese bubbly and slightly browned place under the broiler for an additional 1-2 mins, watching very carefully. Enjoy!
