Marines with the Infantería de Marina (Spanish Marine Corps) joined forces with U.S. Marines to conduct high-intensity security drills and a night raid during UNITAS 2025, held at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Outlying Field Atlantic, North Carolina, on September 13, 2025.

UNITAS, meaning “unity” in Latin, is the world’s longest running annual multinational maritime exercise, first launched in 1960. Now in its 66th iteration, UNITAS brings together partner nations across the globe to enhance interoperability, strengthen naval and ground force cooperation, and sharpen the readiness needed for modern challenges.

The training showcased advanced tactics in night operations, raid execution, and joint security maneuvers, highlighting the seamless coordination between U.S. Marines and their Spanish counterparts.
