Sewing a vintage librarian vest! Aka Evie from the Mummy - 1930s Pattern McCalls 7056

Shh! This gives me all the vintage librarian vibes, aka Evie from The Mummy! I could totally see Rachel Maksy in this vest too! This is a sewalong tutorial for the vintage reproduction 1930s pattern McCalls 7056, 1933 to be precise. It's out of print but you can find it online! I sewed it with two contrasting linen blends since I didn't have enough of either one. The back is silk! I was inspired by vintage menswear for that :) I think it worked great! Some special design features included bound buttonholes and a built in belt. Oh and that thimble pin I'm wearing? It's my own design! If you'd like to buy one, send me a DM on Instagram and I'll give you the details :)
