The Dating App Serial Killer | The Stephen Port Case #crimestory

Between 2014 and 2015, four young men were found dead near a churchyard in Barking, East London.

Police initially believed the deaths were accidental drug overdoses. But the victims’ families suspected something far more sinister.

The investigation eventually revealed that the victims had all met the same man through the dating app Grindr.

That man was Stephen Port, a chef who used dating apps to lure young men to his apartment.

Among his victims were Anthony Walgate, Gabriel Kovari, Daniel Whitworth, and Jack Taylor.

Port drugged his victims with GHB, sexually assaulted them while they were unconscious, and dumped their bodies nearby.

For months the cases were not connected, and crucial evidence was overlooked.

It was ultimately the persistence of a victim’s family and new evidence that forced police to reopen the investigation.

In 2016, Stephen Port was convicted of four murders and sentenced to life imprisonment with a whole life order.

The case exposed serious failures in the investigation and raised concerns about the safety risks associated with online dating platforms.
This video covers the Stephen Port case, the Grindr Killer murders, dating app predator crimes, Anthony Walgate and Jack Taylor victims, and one of the most disturbing modern true crime serial killer cases in the United Kingdom.
