URAKEN UCHI | Shōtōkan Karate Technique

The whipping technique using the back of the hand uses the force of the snapping movement of the elbow. Uraken uchi is very common in Kata. In combination with Yoko geri keage, the technique is used repeatedly as a defense technique (Uraken uke). This combination is found for the first time in Heian nidan.

Die Schlagtechnik mit dem Handrücken nutzt die Kraft aus der Schnappbewegung des Ellenbogens. Uraken uchi kommt sehr oft in den Kata vor. In Kombination mit Yoko geri keage wird die Technik in den Kata wiederholt auch als Abwehrtechnik angewendet (Uraken uke). Diese Kombination kommt zum ersten Mal in Heian nidan vor.
