Soyuz-2.1b ready to launch Arktika-M
A Soyuz-2.1b rocket will launch the Arktika-M meteorological satellite from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, on 28 February 2021, at 07:00 UTC (12:00 local time). Arktika-M was developed by NPO Lavochkin (part of Roscosmos) for climate and environment monitoring in the Arctic region. According to Roscosmos, Arktika-M is “intended for information support and solving tasks in operational meteorology, hydrology, agrometeorology, climate and environmental monitoring in the Arctic region.”
