Minnesota Police Shoot Tear Gas and Rubber Bullets at Protestors
The is the raw video shot by Ted Shaffrey of The Associated Press of police enforcing the 8 p.m. curfew against protesters gathered around burned stores and the 5th Precinct Police Station in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Saturday, May 30, 2020. At the 2:55 time mark, Ted is shot with a rubber bullet, the effects of which can be seen at the 7:30 time mark. The protests started after the death of George Floyd, who died after he was pinned to the pavement by a police officer who put his knee on the handcuffed black man’s neck until he stopped breathing. His death set off protests that spread from Minneapolis across America.
