The Last Days of NAMC YS-11 Turboprop Airliner
YS-11 is a turbo prop aircraft designed and manufactured by NAMC(Nihon Aircraft Manufacturing Company), which was the first commercial passenger aircraft developed in Japan after WW2. The YS-11 were built on 1962 - 1973, and some of them had been used for 30 or 40 years until around 2000s, because of their robustness and reliability. The last (commercial) operator of YS-11 in Japan was JAC(Japan Air Commuter), they were used until 2006. A few of them are still used in JASDF(Japan Air Self-Defense Force) for the special purpose.
