First Kodiak Quest in the Ecuadorian Amazon region SEP 2012
As part of their LATAM tour, Quest visited Ecuador and the Amazon region to show their Kodiak demonstrator. We were invited to fly on this aircraft and visit Kuzutkau and Sarayaku. Flight to Kuzutkau takes about 55 minutes from Shell-Mera which is one of the most active airports in the Amazon region. Return flight to Shell-Mera was via Sarayaku, which has a small 600m long unprepred airstrip 25 minutes away from Shell. Last flight of the day was to Quito landing on RWY35. Congratulations to Quest's test pilot Capt. Rafael Dondi Pesquera for his first flights to our region. Ecuadorian pilot Capt. Gustavo Guayanlema flew as co-pilot for the flights into Sarayaku and Kuzutkau.
