Eira is a Welsh 10 yo girl, born in Wales, UK. She was raised by a single mother, making her childhood quite difficult, as they were struggling with money. As time passed, Eira's mother was getting more and more stressed, working many different jobs, taking care of a little girl, who had sight problems, and also trying to finish studying to get a diploma. To relieve the stress, she began taking medicine and soon enough developed an addiction to pills, or any medicine that calmed her nervous system. Eira looked a lot like her father, a man her mother detested for raping her and leaving her pregnant with a child she never wanted to have. However, Eira's mother had tried to love and care for her daughter as much as she could, but the addiction dug its claws into her and changed her. She didn't abuse Eira, but became colder, more reserved.

One day, Eira's mother yelled at her, pulling her long white hair, *hurting her.* The girl ran into the bathroom, sobbing for hours, missing the person she knew was her mother, not the mother who was addicted to pills. She cut her hair with hot tears streaming down her face. Meanwhile, her mother was shaking in the living room, thinking of what she had just done. She couldn't recognize herself anymore, and neither could her own daughter. Panicked, Eira's mother decided, on an impulse, to get rid of the root of the problem - the pills. She emptied out every nook and cranny, throwing away every single box, every single pill, flushing them down the drain. When she realized what she had done,the woman cursed herself : *How could she have thrown out the only thing that helped her?!* Desperate and already too far gone, she began scratching herself, making herself bleed. No, she couldnt take it anymore. She cannot live without the medicine, and she cannot go back to the person she once was. What is there to lose, anyway? She went to hang herself in the living room of the shabby apartment she and her daughter lived at. After stepping off the chair, she remembered the daughter she never wanted to have, but loved either way. Clawing at her the rope around her throat, Eira's mother tried to un-do everything, to live.

As the woman drew her last dying breath, girl with short white hair came out of the bathroom, her dead mother hanging lifelessly right in front of her.
