I've Built a Treadmill Big Enough to Drive My Car On!
In this video, I build and test a giant treadmill measuring 3m x 2m (6.5 x 9 feet). This has been one of my biggest projects so far, and we had an amazing time shooting the video.
To power the treadmill, I used a 7.5 KW 120NM motor, which, in my opinion, performed exceptionally well.
I aimed for a compact design with minimal elements and, despite my limited knowledge, I started designing the treadmill using the 3D Fusion 360 modeling program. After a few hours, I achieved the final shape, which turned out better than I expected.
The construction process took countless hours, and within the first hour of work, I was reminded of the challenges involved in working with steel.
To test the giant treadmill, I invited five friends, and to my surprise, it worked flawlessly with six people running on it simultaneously.
As you saw in the video, I tested the treadmill in unexpected ways, including riding a bicycle and even driving a car on it.
I would like to express my gratitude to my friends for helping me test the treadmill, and I also want to thank the staff at Nexlevel Gym for allowing me to film the intro of the video in their gym.
The moral of the story: Don't drive a car on a treadmill. :)
Enjoy!
