How do Americans read books?

In a world where everything seems to be going digital, physical books remain important.

Nearly two-thirds of U.S. adults say they read a print book in the past year- – the only format used by a majority of Americans.

Still, audiobooks and e-books have become much more popular since we first asked about them 14 years ago. Americans are more than twice as likely to read audiobooks than in 2011.
