Some notes about the songs:

- There are some Beatles songs sprinkled into this playlist; I'm a huge Beatles nut - I can't help myself! I hope you enjoy my interpretations of these classic songs.

- Blue Light is a song I composed that first came from a story that Mrs. SaxLove and I made up about a woman who, on a foggy Chicago evening, hears, from a distance, the sound of someone playing the saxophone. She follows the sound into a little corner jazz bar, and as her eyes meet the eyes of the saxophonist on stage who's sound she's been hearing, they connect in some deep and powerful way, and he explodes into a ball of Blue Light. (You can hear that explosion at the end of the song.)

- You know how sometimes with certain people, especially people you share love with, you just seem to know what they're thinking and feeling? That's "The Frequency of Knowing". This song features the guitar work of our dear departed friend, Yves Vincent.

- On the other hand, you know how sometimes a relationship feels so good, but there's just some little thing that's missing that ruins everything? That's "Almost Right". This song has a certain poignant bittersweet feeling that I hope you can feel.

- "Kundalini" energy is that powerful energy that lies coiled at the base of your spine. You can release that energy in a variety of ways including the practice of Kundalini Yoga. You can learn more about Kundalini Yoga by checking out our friend Jai Dev Singh: http://jaidevsingh.com/

- "Floating", the title track, was written by my friend, Sanjay Divecha who lives and works in Mumbai. A beautiful soul is Sanjay, and a beautiful song is "Floating'.

- "Lily Was Here" is a very cool smooth jazz standard written by Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics and made famous by the beautiful and talented Dutch saxophonist Candy Dulfer.

- "Sweet Caitlin" was composed by an old friend of mine, Barry Kettery, with whom I had a falling out over, believe it or not, a woman. I think you can feel the pain of those events in this song, even though the song was composed before the events. Tragic, yes, but a beautiful song, nonetheless. Barry: I'm sorry that ever happened, man!

- "Saxual Healing" is the title track from my album of the same name. You can read all about the journey we took to get to that album here: http://markmaxwellmusic.com/saxual-healing.

- "The Sublime Significance of Nothingness" is my tribute to the notion that there is really no way to figure out the meaning of life, and that the secret to understanding our existence to not think about but rather to simply experience it. As soon as you stop thinking about it, you truly start to know it. Think about what I just wrote. No, wait, don't think about it! Ha! There's a sweet little wah-wah saxophone solo part in this one that I just adore.
