Outline of our service this morning:

I. The WONDER of Calvary

A. His BROKENNESS- This is what JESUS experienced on the cross-
1) HE was Abandoned (Mark 14: 50; Luke 22: 54- 62)
2) HE was Accused (falsely) (Matthew 26: 57-61; 27: 22- 26)
3) HE was Abased (mocked) (Matthew 27: 27- 31)
4} HE endured great Agony (Matthew 27: 32- 35)
5) HE was Alienated from the FATHER (Matthew 27: 46 & Mark 15: 34)

B. My BLESSEDNESS- This is what I received because of the cross-

1) Forgiveness (1 Peter 1: 18- 19)
2) Fellowship with GOD (Matthew 27: 52; Romans 5: 2)
3) Freedom from sin & satan (Colossians 2: 13- 15)
4) A secure Future (1 John 5: 11- 13)

II. Living WORTHY of Calvary (1 Peter 1: 13- 19)

A) Pursue CHRIST- As obedient children
B) Purity in our life- Be holy as HE is holy
C) Proclaim JESUS- Live out your lives as strangers
D) A Prepared People- Be Alert & Sober Minded
