Triaxial weave aka Qbert weave as a wrap

The triaxial weave is quite common in mesh work, but it has only lately became popular as a wrap for handles and various objects. The pattern of "building blocks" made in 3D is quite mesmerizing and popular. Sadly there was few information online.

Thankfully for us, Paul Luzny provided a photo tutorial and examples which can be used to make this weave. Thank you for that Paul.
I adapted his tutorial with earlier work I did on the weave. A photo tutorial on the weave is available here:

All in all, it is an advanced weave, so be prepared with plenty of patience, ice cream or anything else that helps you in dire times :).

I recommend you work the braid a bit loose, it goes much faster.
I used 4 cords of red color, 4 cords of orange and 8 cords in black, all gutted and straightened out before weaving.
As a rule, the vertical cord should be double the diagonal ones of one color.
