Odd Visual Glitch While Recording Garry's Mod 11 on OBS 18.0.1
Source Engine is truly a wonder of a codebase that allows stuff like this to happen.

No clue why and how, but when I was testing out OBS 18.0.1 for making my vids look older (hence the video quality) I got this odd visual glitch on my end, where shadows broke in the video file that I got. Basically, everything in game looks fine, while on the video, it looks completely different.
I'm not sure if this is some unknown Source Engine issue that nobody knew existed, until I just had to by chance stumble upon this myself, but that's not the only weird part that I experienced.
After recording, when I closed the map and started again to get the most out of this issue for research purposes, I kid you not, most of the textures on the map just broke! Black-and-purple checkerboard pattern texture were in quite a bunch of places.
I'll upload a video of that later (Check the first link of the description), but for now, here's the setup that I used for recording this specific video; might help ya, I guess:
In Video section of the settings in OBS;
Base (Canvas) Resolution: 800x600
Output (Scaled) Resolution: 640x480
Downscale Filter: Bicubic
FPS: 30
In Output section of the settings;
Output Mode: Advanced
Type: Custom Output (FFmpeg)
Container Format: avi
Video Bitrate: 8000
Video Encoder: flv
Audio Encoder: mp2
Audio Bitrate: 128
As for the game itself, I was running it on windowed mode, 800x600 with aspect ratio of 4:3, with the following advanced video settings: https://imgur.com/a/ol6xTIE
I got the game from here (with an update): https://steamcommunity.com/groups/GarrysMod11Classic/discussions/1/135513421438732905
