Quake model aides in fault research
New research from civil and environmental engineering professor Steven Glaser's lab uses a tabletop fault model to better understand earthquakes. Gregory McLaskey, a recent PhD graduate and researcher in the Glaser lab, explains how the model works in this video. McLaskey is the lead author of a paper in the journal Nature (November 1, 2012) about fault healing.
