Lyrics
Verse 1:
Rainbow of hope in your window
NHS Heroes we really admire
Working hard helping people stay safe
Respect for you goes higher and higher.
Grateful for that important vaccine
Get to see our friends and fam'ly again
No more isolation
Glad when lockdown came to an end.
Chorus:
Covid, covid it's not been good
Freedom was great, but nobody should
Have to stay indoors away from their friends
We couldn't wait for lockdown to end.
We clapped for the heroes to show that we cared
They kept people safe, we're glad they were there.
We'll not forget Covid Pandemic attack
But now it is over, and we are back.
Verse 2:
Lockdown made us feel lonely
Yes we had freedom to play
But walks and swims do not really make up
For missing friends on your birthday.
Worried 'bout those who lost wages
Isolated and feeling alone
Project work kept us busy
But wish we had a teacher at home.
Chorus:
Covid, covid it's not been good
Freedom was great, but nobody should
Have to stay indoors away from their friends
We couldn't wait for lockdown to end.
We clapped for the heroes to show that we cared
They kept people safe, we're glad they were there.
We'll not forget Covid Pandemic attack
But now it is over, and we are back.
