A night to remember.

Highlights of a wonderful (3 hour) concert conducted by Andrea Morricone in honor of his late father, the legend Maestro Ennio Morricone. ENNIO MORRICONE CELEBRATION CONCERT - December 20th, 2022 in Vienna (Stadthalle)

I had the privilege an honor to see the maestro 3 times in Vienna (2007, 2014, 2017). Ennio transformed great movies into excellent movies with his outstanding, touching score. "The Mission" ist just one perfect example and the the "love theme" of "Nuovo Cinema Paradiso" I cried while recording. Rest in peace soulmate. Thank you so much!

And to you Andrea: Thank you so much for your concert in Vienna. You made your father so proud. I had many many tears in my eyes. And thank you to your crew for allowing me to come to you backstage for a little chat and a picture with you. The concert was wonderful curated and beautifully conducted. The never-before-seen pictures and interviews with some directors and actors combined with the music of so many wonderful movies were absolutely stunning. The “theme” you wrote in honor of your late father brought tears in my eyes. And the sea of lights at the end to “Here’s to you” fitted very well. Thank you again Andrea for giving me the chance to tell you what your father meant to me. And to the two ladies who gave me the possibility, even better, they offered an “old fan” to go backstage to meet the maestro, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. A huge kiss and hug to you both. It’s a fan moment that I will cherish forever. ♥️ - Michael
