Life Happens - Data's AT Thru Hike gets delayed AGAIN! - Notes on resilience & pivoting

Hey, y'all. I'm Data (on trail). I'm a 64 yr old novice hiker, I'm (TRYING TO) thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2025!

I'm taking a flip-flop approach to this thru-hike, starting NOBO in March in Central Virginia. I'm doing it as a series of 5 LASHs. I'll hike for about a month, then get off trail for roughly the same amount of time, then back to trail. I'll do that 3 times to reach Mama K., then 2 more SOBO LASHs from Central VA to Springer. If all goes well, I'll cover 400-500 miles per LASH, so I should finish up in Nov/Dec summiting at Springer.
